A yet to be named man on Saturday evening drenched himself in petrol and immolated himself along Entebbe road in Kitende, Wakiso district.

According to eye witnesses, the stressed man emerged from the roadside and hit the streets running with a flame on him till he dropped dead.
“The man just came out from the roadside and started running on his own with a fire flaming on him,” a witness says. “He afterwards dropped dead from the fire wounds,” he adds.
The police have confirmed the incident and say they are investigating to establish what could have implored the yet to be known man to commit suicide.
“We are investigating the circumstances. We don’t have his identity yet neither do we know his reltives at the moment,” says Luke Owoyesigire the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson.
This is not the first time a person is committing suicide by fire. In Masaka last year, a boda rider known as Walugembe stormed the central police station and set himself alight after one of the officers had confiscated his motorcycle. Todate, none of the officers was apprehended over the incident. Multiple undocumented suicide cases are silently ongoing across the country as Ugandans await the relief from the office the Prime Minister.
