The Mukono Municipality MP Hon Betty Nambooze says that it has become too risky for any politician to eat food or take a drink on ceremonies or any public place because of increased use of poison to get rid of opponents and enemies.

Nambooze adds that many top govt workers fear to take tea and eat lunch in parliament meetings citing an example of the government assurance committee where she seats. She says that in the committee seatings, all members have agreed to stop parliament from serving them food and drinks because non of the members eats them in fear of being poisoned and thus this will save parliament from wasting the tax payers money.

Nambooze’s words are just in line with what former cordinator of intelligence Gen David Sejuasa said a few years ago saying that even in meetings at State House, every one feared to eat or take a drink anything there with most members carrying their own food in fear of being poisoned. He cited some top NRM bigwigs like ex Prime Minister Rt. Hon. John Patrick Amama Mbabazi and ex IGP Gen. Kale Kayihura as some of the vigilante people who always carried their own refreshments from home to state house meetings in fear of being poisoned by the Museveni regime.
