A few months ago, news broke out showing how Rwanda was using spying on Uganda’s top government leaders including the CMI chief, Former Prime Minister Rugunda, Former Foreign affairs Minsiter Sam Kutesa among others with aid of Israel’s Pegasus technology.
This week when Gen Museveni was asked about the effect of Rwanda’s spying on Uganda during an exclusive interview with France 24 Television, he said that it is a waste of time because they cannot get anything if he dares try to hide it.
Gen Museveni says he keeps secrets in his head which Rwanda spying network cannot open to get. He brags that all Uganda’s intelligence is safely enclosed in his head and therefore if Kagame wants a portion of it then he has to cut off his head to get the secrets.
For close to three years now, there has been rift between the Kigali and Kampala administration for a long time now something that prompted President Paul Kagame to close the Rwanda-Uganda border for some time.
Kagame alleged that Uganda was harboring rebels that were planning to cause insecurity in Rwanda as well as plan to overthrow his government.
Last week, Dr Lawrence Muganga the Victoria University Vice Chancellor was arrested but later released for espionage with the CMI saying he was a Kagame spy agent.
