His trip has however shaken the despot Gen. Yoweri Museveni who has according to sources summoned some of his strategists to direct him on how to handle his political nemesis. Sources say the trip sent shockwaves down the spine of Museveni.
“Truth be said is that whenever Bobi is outside the country, we don’t feel at peace,” an aide to Museveni remarks. “We are in tense times with neighbours like Rwanda. Anything can happen and it can be blamed on us,” he adds.
NUP statement on Bobi Wine trip
Currently, our Leader Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert is on an official tour in South Africa where he is meeting and appreciating Ugandans and their communities for the great work they have done in these past years to support our cause in their respective capacities. Discussions regarding the future of our country Uganda are being held and many great ideas are being exchanged. Most important among what is being discussed is how best we can make our struggle not only a domestic one, but an international affair. We are well aware that for us to be successful in our struggle to bring down this brutal dictatorship, we have to expand our works beyond domestic horizons. We are very delighted to note that despite the setbacks, these comrades are still committed and devoted to the struggle for a new Uganda.
