It is not over yet for the Kawempe North Member of Parliament Muhammad Ssegirinya after Buganda Road Court magistrate this afternoon issued criminal summons against him over a case of inciting violence he allegedly committed in March this year.
The Criminal summons have been issued against troubled Kawempe North MM Muhammad Ssegirinya who is currently still at Kigo government prisons despite being granted bail by the Masaka High Court on Monday. Buganda Road Court grade one magistrate Marion Manfeno has issued the said summons after MP Ssegirinya failed to appear in Court for further hearing of his case in which he is charged with inciting violence.
The summons have since invited mixed reactions on social media platforms where Ugandans are questioning the ethics of the entire judiciary which they say appears to be incompetent.
“Why is he being summoned when he is still grappling with a bail process?,” one commentator opined. “So where was the magistrate and why is she waiting for bail to be accomplished,” another person opined.
