Lukwago says these are not personal matters adding that covertly meeting with Mr. Museveni will not have any positive contribution to the City transformation.

Lukwago says that Kampala has elected leaders including Mayors and Councilors and thus it is better for President Museveni to come and meet all of them at City Hall to forge a way forward of transforming the city in broad day light and not in hiding.

The Lord Mayor’s response came as he was officiating at the closure of the induction of Councilors from Makindye Division at Rider Hotel, Seeta.

He appreciated the organizers and the participants for being attentive and zealous about appreciating the legal regime governing Kampala. He asked fellow leaders to wholly embrace the proposals for amending the law in good faith.
