By press time the details were still scanty however the MP Nambooze in a Facebook post says she only survived by the ‘mercy of God.’
“Fellow Ugandans, today this morning you almost lost me this morning. Assassins in my bedroom alone. But he gave me a chance to say my last prayer. This time, I don’t know how I survived,” Nambooze wrote on Facebook.
Police has not issued a single statement regarding the incident.
Nambooze in a Facebook footage says the assailants made her recite a prayer before they abruptly took off. She is still in total shock after surviving this tense moment. This is not the first time Nambooze is being attacked by state operatives. In 2017 during the heated age limit bill debate, SFC soldiers cornered Nambooze in the corridors of parliament and thumped her to pulp.
