The underfire Minister for Science, technology and innovations also Museveni’s advisor on epidemics and pandemics Dr. Monica Musenero has fired back at MPs who have been thinking that their probe can impact on her services in cabinet.
In yesterday’s closed door probe that transpired at parliament in the absence of the press, Dr. Musenero told the MPs that none of them has the capacity to inspire her interdiction.
“If you can learn how this country operates, you would not even be wasting time,”Musenero reportedly told the MPs on the committee. “I am only accountable to Museveni. He is my boss and I only answer to him,” she added
Earlier on, the outspoken Kiira municipality legislator Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda raised concerns about who exactly is to be innoculated with Musenero’s vaccine since the Ministry of Health is relying on imported and donated vaccines.
Ntungamo municipality MP Yona Musinguzi who is on the frontline of the committee investigating Dr. Musenero revealed that unknown Mafias deployed inside parliament grabbed a crucial affidavit implicating the thieving Minister. “A man disguising as a cleaner approached me and grabbed my file which I was supposed to submit to the committee,” Yona said. “I made an alarm and called the sergeant at arms to recover the documents but all in vain,” he added.
Dr. Musenero is under fire over missing Covid vaccine funds amounting to close to UGX 100b which she smartly looted from the desperate unsuspecting president Museveni. Musenero first received UGX 20b in April last year, acquired another UGX 50b recently and is apparently awaiting another UGX 50b to manufacture a vaccine for Covid.
