Enanga made the statement on Monday at a weekly security presser at Naguru police headquarters. His words come at a time when the media has for some time been awash with claims that the ongoing arrests are targeting moslems. This was due to the fact that all the arrested sofar have Islamic names something that many think is a deliberate effort to fight their religion.

“Nobody has been arrested because of their political or religious beliefs. Those arrested are people participating in criminality,” Police spokesperson Fred Enanga

Enanga added that the media is full of misleaders that are trying to divert the public from the real issue as to why such people are arrested.

He further added that whatever the public thinks, the security forces wont hesitate to go for any one who is participating in criminality regardless of his or her religion because crime knows no religion.
