An embittered Amuriat accuses NUP of failing to deliver the much desired change. He says a lot had been promised by NUP during the campaign trail but not much has changed.
“They were shouting we are going to Entebbe in state house, but now I don’t feel their vibe,” Amuriat said. “We have always given them our stand and it is very clear. A ballot cannot deliver change,” he added as he scoffed at NUP.
It is not the first time that Amuriat is attacking NUP and its leadership. Recently, a video emerged on social media showing Amuriat at an open rally making critical statements despising the struggle championed by NUP. Despite miserably losing the presidential election, Amuriat has remained opposed to unity of the opposition. He is said to have deliberately turned down the opposition unity efforts that had been championed by NUP in the 2021 polls aftermath.
