Former police boss turned politician Simeo Nsubuga has come out to warn Kassanda residents how they made a grave mistake by denying him a second chance. The renowed NRM sycophant was trounced by the National Unity Platform party candidate Frank Kabuye Kibirige who was like an underdog in the race.

Simeo says the people made a mistake to sacrifice him for a less known NUP candidate.

“You didn’t have to be excited by the NUP wave. You knew how I always helped you on land issues. I played my part in my time,” Simeo reiterated during a media interview. “Right now the people call and cry to me how they are being evacuated from their homes. I was an aggressive MP who would encounter land grabbers,” he added.

Simeo adds that the NUP MP Frank Kabuye is an amateur in politics who cannot deliver much for the area.

“Even the functional ambulance service is mine. People call me asking for assistance yet I’m not their MP. Right now we have to move on,” he says. “Next time when you are making choices, you don’t have to be driven by excitement. You voted Kabuye but now he is hiding. I was always here for you. I warned you about the mistake you made,” he added.

Simeo an age limit bill proponent lost his legislative seat initially during the NRM party primaries. He was trounced by Michael Muhumuza at party level while in the general election, he was massively defeated by Frank Kabuye of NUP. Kabuye scopped 12279 which was 39% of the vote while Simeo scooped 8271 Nsubuga and 8036 for Michael Muhumuza.
