Gen. Yoweri Museveni and his NRM party members have unleashed a new propaganda campaign tool aimed at tarnishing the image of his major political rival also ex presidential candidate Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine.

In the new propaganda tool deployed by Museveni and his agents, leaflets denouncing Bobi as an agent of illuminati are being dropped in the remotest rural areas where the NRM believes people will digest the propaganda.

It is not the first time that Mr. Museveni is using propaganda to put down his opponent. Even in the 2001 campaigns, Museveni would openly on rallies urge people not to vote for his then major challenger Dr. Besigye as he claimed he was to die of HIV once he assumes the presidential seat.

Reacting on the leaflets via his social media platforms, Bobi Wine castigates Museveni for activating the panic mode button by spearheading a childish campaign that would least be expected of a decorated general of his stature.

“It has come to our notice that regime operatives are going around in villages throwing printed and hand-written notices of this nature, threatening to cause harm to people. These are usual NRA bush-war tactics which our people should ignore and treat with contempt. Of course the regime has been deliberately trying to keep our people in ignorance so that they can easily play on their minds with these kinds of things. Nothing will save the brutal regime from the inevitable,” Bobi wrote in a Tuesday statement.
