Uganda’s longest serving despot Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has decreed that he cannot afford to sleep in state house Entebbe and Nakasero over what he termed as their ‘deplorable’ state that can affect his health and life.

The 78 year ruler has since dispatched the head of his welfare unit to engage the relevant authorities to ensure that he gets the money to kickstart the refurbishment before the end of the month of January.

The officials in a Wednesday meeting with a section of MPs on the Presidential Affairs Committee tabled the urgent need for the funds. The committee is led by Ms. Jesca Ababiku. The state house officials revealed that part of the money was to be used to refurbish the Entebbe State house complex, state lodges and the procurement of security equipment.

The officials were led by the State Minister for Economic Monitoring in the office of the president, Peter Ogwang.

It should be recalled that last year when his major opponent Bobi Wine attained a brand new latest model of a Toyota armoured vehicle, Gen. Museveni also instructed the Financial committee to offer him cash to procure latest vehicles claiming his motorcade is already outdated.
