As the Rules, Privileges and Discipline committee winds up its 2 day engagement at the lavish Nile Resort Hotel in Jinja, the chairperson Abdul Katuntu has reportedly received new instructions from the Deputy Speaker tasking him to give a fair ruling on the Zaake case.

Among who has battled with public scrutiny for three consecutive weeks believes she has to play a ‘motherly’ figure to appeal to her largely Born Again and Christian audience. It is said that after being advised by her religious mentors who are mainly priests and pastors, Among is revising her overzealous decision to have Zaake relieved of his commission duties.

The rumour has scared away the Layibi-Bardege Member of Parliament Martin Ojara Mapenduzi whose face has been at the forefront of seeing his fellow opposition colleague impeached.

“The report shall be submitted to Parliament tomorrow during plenary when MPs convene to discuss the Parish Development Model. It’s at that point that Mapenduzi shall move the impeachment vote,” a source privy to the program reveals. “Among shall adjourn the sitting to Friday and dismiss the case on grounds that she won’t have to humiliate herself by being the judge in a case where she herself is a complainant,” the source adds.

Millions of shillings have been spent on the Committee to conduct the proceedings. The two week ultimatum which was given to the committee elapsed 8 days ago. It remains unclear if the committee will give a balanced report given its inclination to the side of the Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Anita Among.
