Reliable sources in state house have revealed to this newspaper that the NUP party candidate has strongly worried the NRM party chairman Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa.

The mole intimates that Museveni had anticipated that the opposition would in the interest of what he calls ‘humanity’ leave the son to the deceased speaker Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah to vie for the position without any stiff contestation.

“Where are we going as a country if we cannot even bear some humanity?,” the source quoted Museveni to have said. “What source of nonsense is NUP promoting? I thought when Bobi Wine went to condole with Oulanyah’s family, he would not maybe front a candidate on Oulanyah’s son,” he reportedly added.

The Electoral Commission has been allegedly instructed to replicate the Kayunga LCV by-election saga in which the NRM flag bearer was announced as victor despite the fact the opposition NUP candidate had won.

Sources say Museveni is furious with the fact that NUP has fronted a candidate in Omoro. “We now have to go an extra mile and spend more money on just one by-election. You know the situation we are in at the moment. The inflation rate is shooting up,” Museveni reportedly said as quoted by our source. “NUP should not give us more headache in Omoro,” he reportedly added.
