According to Namayanja, the ruling NRM party has credible achievements that can be preached to the ordinary Ugandans but the messengers to advance that gospel are silent.

“You are creating a vacuum by being silent. There are some good things we have done as a government. Make them known to the people. When you keep quiet on things we have done, then how will the people get to know,” she said. “NUP is busy exposing costly propaganda that is heavily reducing our support in Buganda and the central subregion. We can counteract this by showing the public our incredible achievements. Most of the things in our manifesto have been tackled. We have the Parish Development Model that is helping our young people,” she added.

In the previous 2021 general elections, the National Unity Platform party presidential candidate Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine trounced the NRM party candidate Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa with over 60%. Several incumbent MPs from the tenth parliament and cabinet Ministers were all wiped out by the revolutionary wave as the youth gave a protest vote to vent their anger on the government that they accused with failing to work on their issues. The general elections were characterized by broad day brutality, abductions, mass shootings and wanton arrests, which all left the Buganda youth in total frustration.
